Kelso, home of the Borders Art Fair, is a friendly, traditional market town set amongst the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders.  It is located between Edinburgh and Newcastle, and offers a perfect base to explore the wider area.  The cobbled market square and surrounding streets offer a range of eateries and independent shops, from fashion boutiques to galleries, and bistros to traditional pubs.

Locally, the river Tweed is famous for its salmon fishing, there are fantastic walking routes and cycle paths, as well as golf courses and riding centres.  The area boasts some of the most beautiful countryside to explore, and some spectacular historic buildings and sites.

Within a short distance from Kelso there are Roman forts and stately homes, world class mountain bike trails, museums and abbeys to explore.
