Borders Art Fair

*****HERO OF THE WEEK*****

Last, but definitely not least, our final hero to introduce you to is..... Aine Divine RSW. Don't miss the chance to see Aine demonstrate her unique style of portrait painting at the fair - see www.bordersartfair.com/events for details. We're delighted to have her as one of our 'Local Heroes'.....and have some VERY exciting news to release tomorrow.....

AINE DIVINE
Aine Divine is originally from Ireland, where she studied at the Crawford College of Art and Design, before re-locating to Scotland, where she works as a portrait artist and art tutor. She has won a number of prestigious awards, and was selected to take part in the BBC TV show 'Star Portraits'. Aine also became a finalist in the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year in 2014, which gave her the opportunity to paint Sir Ian McKellan. More recently she has moved on to painting different subject matter including landscapes and still life. She is actually featured in this month's Artists & Illustrators magazine, but we would really recommend booking to see her demo at the fair.....she is fascinating to watch at work.

Borders Art Fair

Here's another new exhibitor we're welcoming to the Borders Art Fair for the first time....

Jill Macleod studied at Edinburgh College of Art, and exhibits in galleries and art festivals throughout Scotland. Despite falling from a ladder into Crail Harbour as a child, her paintings are, surprisingly, still often influenced by water and coastal landscapes. She flattens objects into blocks of colour, texture or line to emphasise composition. Her favourite medium is acrylic and she includes Gerhard Richter, Richard Diebenkorn, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, and Callum Innes as influences.

CHECK OUT OUR TWITTER FEED TO WIN one of her prints, and a ticket to our PV.
